How I lost £50,000 because I took my solicitor’s advice.

As a property investor, your solicitor is probably your knight in shining armour so obviously you listen to them. I made a pre auction offer for a property which was accepted. After reviewing the titles, my solicitor was not entirely happy and wanted to do more research. Of course we didn’t have enough time for this and the vendor proceeded to selling at auction. 3 months down the line this same property came back to the market for £50k more than what it sold for at auction, and I bought it. It turns out there was nothing wrong with the titles. Would you have taken the solicitor’s advice?
